Over the years, significant achievements have been recorded in the research and development activities of NBRRI. Some of these are described as Achievements in Hardware Technology.  These are concrete results and innovations which can be seen e.g. Brick making Machine, Madortile package, etc.  Others are Achievements in Software Technology. These are achievements which may not be physically seen but which are invaluable and contribute effectively in achieving durable, cost-effective roads and buildings, etc. Examples include the invaluable information on sugbrade soils to aid in cost-effective road route planning, design and development; design criteria for thermal comfort in buildings, among others.

Some of these significant achievements are highlighted in this Section. All on-going R&D projects which are at advanced stages of completion have been deliberately left out.
