DIRECTORS/DEPUTY DIRECTORS IN
RESEARCH DEPARTMENTS Candidates for (i-vi) above must possess Ph.D in the following areas of specialization: Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, Mechanical Engineering, Highway Engineering, Geotechnics, Environmental Sciences, Metallurgical Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Polymer Science or Engineering, Ceramic Science or Engineering. EXPERIENCE: Candidates for Directorship must have minimum of fifteen (15) years post-first degree cognate experience in research and development activities, research management and administration in a Research Institute or similar organization with at least fifteen (15) reputable publications plus fifteen (15) Conference/Seminar papers (produced) while candidates for Deputy Directorship must have a minimum of twelve (12) years post- first degree cognate experience in their relevant fields with at least ten (10) reputable journal publications and twelve (12) Conference/Seminar papers plus evidence of Community Service.
PRINCIPAL RESEARCH OFFICERS/SENIOR
RESEARCH OFFICERS Candidates from (vii-xi) above must possess a Ph.D degree. Candidates for Principal Research Officer positions must have at least six (6) years post-first degree research activities in a research institute or relevant organization with three (3) reputable journal publications and four (4) Conference/Seminar papers (produced) while candidates for Senior Research Officer positions must have one (1) reputable journal publication and two (2) Conference/Seminar papers with three (3) years post-qualification cognate experience.
RESEARCH OFFICERS I
The Candidates must possess M. Sc. or M. Phil in the relevant
disciplines with at least three (3) years post-qualification cognate
experience.
DEPUTY DIRECTOR (FINANCE &
ACCOUNTS) and DEPUTY DIRECTOR (AUDIT) The candidates must possess a good honours degree or HND in Accountancy from a recognized University or Polytechnic. The right candidates must have attended and passed an Advanced Financial Management Course. In addition, they must possess the professional qualification of any of the following accounting bodies:

Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN) EXPERIENCE: The right candidates must have fifteen (15) years’ post-qualification cognate experience from the public sector. Candidates from the private sector may not apply.
DEPUTY DIRECTOR (ADMIN & SUPPLIES) EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE The candidate must possess a degree in any of the disciplines of Social Sciences or Humanities with at least fifteen (15) years post-qualification cognate experience. A Master degree in relevant fields and membership of relevant professional body will be of added advantage.
DEPUTY DIRECTOR (PLANNING AND BUDGET) and CHIEF PLANNING OFFICER EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: The candidates must possess a good honours degree in Economics preferably with Statistics; Econometric or Development Planning as a subject from a recognized University or a good honours degree plus post graduate Diploma in Economic Planning or Economic Development or Project Preparation from a recognized University. All candidates for Deputy Directorship position must have fifteen (15) years’ post-first degree cognate experience while all candidates for Chief Planning Officer position must have twelve (12) years’ post-first degree cognate experience.
CHIEF ACCOUNTANT and CHIEF INTERNAL AUDITOR EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE
The candidates must possess a good honours degree or HND in
Accountancy from a recognized University or Polytechnic with twelve
(12) years’ post-qualification cognate experience. In addition, the
candidate must possess the professional qualification of any of the
following accounting bodies: Quantity Surveyor EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: The suitable candidate must possess any of the following qualification or their equivalent registrable with the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS):
